Hall Table

2021 Brown Oak, Baltic Birch Plywood, Maple, Epoxy Resin 48”x 14”x 37”

The inspiration for this piece was the traditional shape or form of victorian hall tables blended with modern techniques, styles, and materials. The live edge legs were designed to be a reference to the live edge slab top tables that are widely made today while mimicking the curves found in many victorian pieces. The apron is stacked plywood that was cut out on a CNC router and inset to produce the general shape of the section that was sanded down to smooth. A further modernized element was the use of mica powder colored resin. The drawer box is made with hand cut dovetails on a french bottom.
